Job summary

Career Land Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department of a 198-bed Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM. You will work nights in a 48-bed ED with flex space and a team nursing/pod model.

You'll care for trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, chest pain, COPD and CHF, documenting in Cerner. The department includes a social worker and a unit educator to support staff. Schedule includes nights 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, and mid shifts 10 AM–10 PM and 12 PM–12 AM.

Qualifications

• RN license (ADN or higher) required.
• At least 2 years of acute care experience.
• Certifications can be obtained after hire.
• New Mexico or compact licensure not required to apply but must be obtained before start date.

Responsibilities

• Care for a wide mix of ED patients including trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, chest pain, COPD and CHF.
• Document in Cerner electronic medical record.
• Work in a team nursing and pod model; night shifts with department support.

About the role

You will work nights in a 48-bed ED with flex space, using a team nursing and pod model. Ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track. You will care for a wide mix of patients, including trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, chest pain, COPD and CHF, and you will document in Cerner. A social worker and a unit educator are assigned to the department.

Requirements

• ADN or higher with an RN license
• At least 2 years of acute care experience
• Skills in trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis and moderate sedation
• BLS on submission; other certifications can be obtained after hire
• New Mexico or compact licensure is not required to apply, but must be obtained before the start date

Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM,

Mid shifts, 10 AM – 10 PM and 12 PM – 12 AM (a combination of both)
