Job summary

WellStar Health System seeks an experienced Emergency Nurse (RN) to join the W.E.S.T. Float Team. You will provide patient-centered care across WellStar facilities, traveling as needed to support ED operations and codes.

The role requires 2+ years ED RN experience, active RN license (GA or Compact), BSN preferred, and BLS/ACLS/PALS; TNCC/ATCN preferred. Collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams is essential, with rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ED RN experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) required.
• Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care including assessment, triage, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
• Respond swiftly to critical situations and codes.
• Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and discharge instructions.
• Document accurately and in accordance with WellStar standards.

ACLS

PALS

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.
