Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse to support the W.E.S.T. Float Team. You will deliver patient-centered ED care across multiple WellStar facilities, adapting to busy, fast-paced environments while collaborating with physicians and teams.

You bring 2+ years of ED RN experience, GA or Compact licensure, and active BLS/ACLS/PALS. This role offers travel between facilities and opportunities to expand clinical skills within a leading health system.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of recent ED RN experience.
• Active RN license in GA or Compact state.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• TNCC required or in progress; ATCN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care including assessment, triage, intervention and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on care plans.
• Respond quickly to critical situations and codes.
• Educate patients and families on care, treatment and discharge instructions.
• Document accurately and timely per WellStar standards.

What You'll Do:

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care-assessment, triage, intervention, and evaluation.

What You'll Bring:

Experience :Minimum 2+ years of recent, direct ED RN experience required.

Education :Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) required.

Required Licensure/Certifications :Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) required.

BLS

• Basic Life Support required.

ACLS

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required.

PALS

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.

TNCC

• Trauma Nurse Core Course or

ATCN

• Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cert preferred.
