Job summary

WellStar Health System in Georgia seeks an experienced Emergency Nurse (RN) to join the W.E.S.T. Float Team. You will provide expert, patient-centered care across WellStar facilities, stepping in where you're needed most in fast-paced ED settings.

This role offers travel between facilities, opportunity to expand clinical skills, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Requires 2+ years ED RN, active Georgia RN license (or Compact), and BLS/ACLS/PALS; TNCC/ATCN preferred.

Qualifications

• ED RN experience required (2+ years).
• Active RN license (GA or Compact).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• TNCC and ATCN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care including assessment, triage, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on care plans.
• Respond to critical situations and codes promptly and effectively.
• Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation per WellStar standards.

What You'll Do:

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care-assessment, triage, intervention, and evaluation.

What You'll Bring:

Experience :Minimum 2+ years of recent, direct ED RN experience required.

Education :Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) required.

Required Licensure/Certifications :Active RN license (Georgia or Compact) required.

BLS

• Basic Life Support required.

ACLS

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required.

PALS

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.

TNCC

• Trauma Nurse Core Course or

ATCN

• Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cert preferred.
