Job summary

Springfield Hospital, Inc. seeks an RN to provide nursing care under the Nursing Practice standards. You will perform the Nursing Process, document care, and delegate tasks as appropriate while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

This mid-shift role runs 11:00 am–11:00 pm or 9:00 am–9:00 pm with a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k with employer match, disability insurance, PTO, and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Vermont RN license in good standing or compact state license.
• Six months of nursing experience desirable for specialty areas.
• Nursing care knowledge across the lifespan.
• Effective people skills and communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Proficiency with technology in care delivery.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS.
• PALS.
• TNCC.
• Basic dysrhythmia.
• De-escalation training (required completion at first course offering after hire).
• ESI Course (within one year of hire).
• CEN (preferred).
• ENPC (preferred).

• Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, within the framework of the Department of Nursing, and in conjunction with Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments and assumes responsibilities for nursing care and documentation to include delegation of work to other levels of employees.
• Ensure practice meets compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
• Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
• Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas.
• Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan.
• Effective people skills and communication.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products.
• Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

• Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Course (within one year of hire)
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) (preferred)

Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $35.13 - $57.64 per hour. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education and experience of the successful candidate.
