Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group seeks two Daytime RN Desk Nurses / Assistant Unit Managers to partner with Lead Unit Managers in nursing leadership across two units in a Connecticut facility.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily care delivery, EMR documentation, physician order processing, and unit workflows. The role involves Monday–Friday daytime shifts and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut required.
• Minimum 2–3 years clinical nursing in SNF/LTC with supervisory or unit-management experience.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities for two active units.
• High proficiency with EMR systems (PointClickCare) for care planning and orders.
• Excellent communication with physicians, leadership, nursing staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily unit operations, shift reports, and clinical workflows across two units.
• Review, process, and reconcile physician orders, labs, and medications for accurate clinical execution.
• Serve as liaison between physicians, therapy teams, families, and staff to align care plans.
• Assist with resident assessments, care planning updates, and discharge preparation.
• Model standards and coach floor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs; provide documentation support.
