KingRecruitingServices is seeking two Daytime RN Desk Nurses / Assistant Unit Managers in Connecticut. You will partner with the Lead Unit Manager to oversee daily care delivery, clinical documentation, and unit workflows across two resident units in a daytime, Monday–Friday schedule.

This role combines clinical leadership with administrative responsibilities, ideal for experienced LTC RNs seeking structured growth without full solo management burden.

Qualifications

• Current, active, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Connecticut.
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting with supervisory or unit-management exposure.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities for managing two active clinical units.
• High proficiency with Electronic Medical Record systems (e.g., PointClickCare) for care planning and audits.
• Excellent communication with physicians, leadership, nursing staff, and resident families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily unit operations and desk leadership with the Lead Unit Manager across two units.
• Review and reconcile physician orders, lab results, and pharmacy profiles for timely clinical execution.
• Serve as liaison between physicians, therapy teams, families, and nursing staff to align care plans.
• Assist with comprehensive resident assessments, care plan updates, and discharge preparation.
• Provide guidance and coaching to floor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to uphold clinical standards.
• Maintain EMR documentation compliant with CT DPH regulations and internal QAPI benchmarks.
