Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Connecticut seeks two daytime Desk Nurses / Assistant Unit Managers to partner with Lead Unit Managers. You will oversee unit operations, clinical documentation, and order processing while mentoring floor staff in a collaborative, administrative-clinical leadership role.

The position requires active RN licensing in CT, 2–3 years in LTC, and strong EMR skills to maintain compliant care plans and regulatory standards. This is a day shift, Monday–Friday role on-site.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Connecticut.
• 2–3 years in SNF/LTC with supervisory/desk nurse experience.
• Proficiency with EMR systems (PointClickCare).
• Strong communication with physicians, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily unit operations and shift reports with Lead Unit Manager.
• Process and reconcile physician orders, lab results, and pharmacy profiles.
• Serve as liaison between physicians, therapy teams, families, and nursing staff.
• Assist with resident assessments, care plan updates, and discharge prep.
• Coach and guide floor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs for standard clinical care.
• Ensure EMR documentation complies with DPH and internal QA requirements.
