Job summary

Great River Care Center in Iowa is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee and coordinate direct resident care. You will follow nursing standards, interpret policies for staff and families, and supervise CNAs while maintaining resident safety and quality of life.

CPR certification and Iowa licensure are required, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a shift differential for afternoon hours and weekend coverage. Shifts run 5am–5pm, offering 30–40 hours weekly, with every other holiday and monthly

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
• Licensure/Certification in the state of Iowa required.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practice and implement facility policies and procedures.
• Interpret existing policies and procedures to Resident Care Technicians, residents, families and physicians.
• Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
• Receive report from the nurse you are relieving and record sufficient information to implement follow-up action as necessary.
• Provide report to nurse coming on duty, including sufficient information for follow-up action if necessary.
• Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to the charge nurse or Director of Nursing, if necessary, and initiate corrective action.
• Identify resident problems, emergency situations and respond appropriately within the Quality of Life Policies of Healthcare of Iowa.
• Identify safety hazards and take appropriate action.
• Follow, supervise, and evaluate the implementation of the Resident’s Rights Program.
• Provide clinical supervision of CNA's giving direct resident care.

Job Details:

5am-5pm 30-40 hours per week. Every other holiday. Flexible 12 hours per month of weekend coverage.

Compensation: $40-$42.50.

Shift differential: $4.00 additional starting at 2pm. $5.00 additional for hours worked Saturday/Sunday.
