Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time day shifts. You will provide individualized, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages and coordinate care across admission, transfer, and discharge using the Nurse Practice Act and Mercy policies.

Responsibilities include working rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as scheduled, and collaborating with the care team to delegate tasks and ensure safe, compassionate patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.
• BLS certification within six weeks of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English language.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Job duties may vary by shift or may be unit-specific.

• Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.
• Basic Life Support certified within six (6) weeks of hire. The acceptable credentialing body is the American Heart Association.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to populations served within three (3) months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English language.
