Job summary

TriHealth's Good Samaritan Thomas Center in Montgomery, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a compassionate, service-driven team. The role focuses on applying nursing process to deliver holistic patient and family care and collaborating with physicians and other health care professionals.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, patient education, safe medication administration, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Associates/ diploma in nursing required
• Must obtain BSN within 5 years
• Up to 1 year clinical nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patient and family. Documents ongoing assessment per TriHealth guidelines. Communicates assessment findings to other health care providers. Includes health counseling and health teaching needs in assessment.
• Plans care for patient and family based on assessment, standards of care, and outcomes. Initiates and individualizes care plans. Updates plan of care and involves discharge planning.
• Provides a safe, therapeutic environment, respects patient autonomy and rights, and collaborates with physicians and health care team. Trains/educates staff and acts as a resource in specialty areas.
• Evaluates the plan of care based on outcomes; revises plan with patient/family and team; supervises delegated care.
