Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Mount Carmel East in Ohio. The role supports a new 15-bed Observation Unit with a mix of cardiac, neuro and trauma care in a fast-paced environment. Full-time, 12-hour day shifts, with comprehensive benefits starting day one.

The RN will assess, treat, and educate patients under Ohio Nurse Practice Act, collaborating with providers to ensure timely, safe transitions of care. A strong team mindset and EMR proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Current Ohio RN license is required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other team members.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group using evidence-based practice.
• Assist provider with patient assessments, examinations, and treatments.
• Perform basic medical procedures under supervision.
• Administer medications under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and procedures.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately per standards.
• Ensure care is coordinated and communicated among the care team.
