Job summary

HAN Staff is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in Goldsboro, North Carolina in a correctional healthcare setting. The role includes patient assessment, medication administration, EMR documentation, and care coordination with physicians.

Must hold an NC RN license with 1+ year of RN experience in the last 3 years, and have current BLS, N95 fit testing, immunizations, and TB testing. Ten-hour day/night shifts and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1+ year of RN experience within the last 3 years.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of current required certifications (BLS, N95 fit test, vaccines, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health conditions and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor progress and document assessments and outcomes in EMR.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures within scope.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and infection control standards.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Provide patient-centered care with safety and quality.

Local Pay: $ 53.00/hour- W2

Travel Pay:

Travel Rate (based on 40 hours): Hourly $31.03, Stipend (Lodging $770.00 + M&I $476.00) = $1,246.00

Shift Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as a RN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).
