Job summary

HAN Staff is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Marion, North Carolina assignment. The role involves direct patient care under RN/physician supervision, medication administration, and patient education in a correctional healthcare setting.

The position requires NC LPN licensure in good standing and at least 1 year of recent LPN experience, plus BLS and other compliance credentials. Evening shift details apply; travel is provided as described.

Qualifications

• Current, valid NC license as LPN in good standing.

• Copy of Primary Source Verification (PSV) if required.
• Current required certifications and compliance documents (BLS, N95 fit test, immunizations, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of RN or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record vital signs; report changes.
• Assist with assessments and individualized care plans.
• Perform wound care and specimen collection.
• Document care in EMR.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and plans.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers.
• Maintain safe, clean, therapeutic environment.
• Follow infection control and regulatory standards.

Local Pay: $ 39.00/hour- W2

Travel Pay:

Travel Rate (based on 40 hours): Hourly $20.47, Stipend (Lodging $693.00 + M&I $329.00) = $1,022.00

Shift Details:

• 8hr

• Evening Shift 1.30pm - 10.00pm

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report changes in condition.

• Assist with patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.

• Perform wound care, specimen collection, and other basic nursing procedures.

• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.

• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as a LPN within the last 3 years.

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
