Job summary

HAN Staff is seeking a Registered Nurse for South Burlington, VT, offering local pay of $63.00 per hour on a W2 basis. The role centers on delivering high-quality patient care within a correctional healthcare setting, with shifts including Day Shift - 12 Hour.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering meds, documenting care, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and educating patients and families. Travel pay options and stipends are available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Current, valid VT RN license in good standing.
• 1+ year of RN experience within the last 3 years.
• PSV verification from licensing board if required.
• Current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95, immunization, TB).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health conditions and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and discharge instructions.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures within scope.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and infection control standards.
• Maintain accurate EMRs and patient records.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care ensuring safety and quality.

Local Pay: $ 63.00 /hour - W2

Travel Pay:

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hourly $27.23, Stipend (Lodging $896.00 + M&I $602.00) = $1498.00

Total Comp :$2,478.28

Travel Eligibility: Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for Travel Pay.

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.

• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted VT license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
