Job summary

CentraCare Health invites you to join our Urgent Care team as an RN at River Campus, opening February 2027. You will triage walk-in patients and provide age-appropriate nursing care under a provider’s direction, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality of care.

The role offers part-time scheduling (48 hours every two weeks), 12-hour shifts (9am–9:30pm), with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Associates degree or higher).
• Current RN licensure in Minnesota.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider required; may be obtained internally at hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage patient records and orders; work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Join our CentraCare team as a Registered Nurse (RN) Convenience Care at our new, second location, Urgent Care at River Campus (next to the Emergency Room) Opening February 2027!

You’ll work with a team of amazing healthcare professionals every day. You’ll join them to listen, then serve, guide, and heal!

At Urgent Care, the RN will work in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for working as a valuable member of the health care team making independent and dependent decisions under the direction of a provider. The RN is a competent nurse who has mastered technical skills and uses evidence-based interventions in providing age-appropriate care to patients and families. The RN continues to collaborate with other health care team members when the need for assistance is identified. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Maintains competencies for practice. Primarily responsible for triaging symptom-based walk in patients that present to the clinic. Functions as a liaison between providers, patients, and staff in the delivery of nursing care.

Schedule:

• Part-time | 48 hours every 2 weeks
• 12-hour shifts from 9am-9:30pm
• Variable Days every two weeks
• Every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay based on experience and degree
  • Pay range: $41.46-69.18 per hour
    • Associate's in nursing starting at $41.46 per hour
    • Bachelor's in nursing is starting at $42.90 per hour
    • Master's in nursing starting at $44.33 per hour

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Associates Degree or higher.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with the state of Minnesota.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required; can be obtained internally upon hire.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Possesses the ability to patients' medical records, physician orders and to be communicated to the patient and hospital staff.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and in a team setting with minimal supervision.
