Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to support department leadership, oversee staff performance, and coordinate patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The role collaborates with the unit Director/Manager to ensure compliance and service quality.

The position requires an active RN license in California, preferred BSN, and certifications such as ACLS, PALS/ENPC, with TNCC/CEN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required and active in state
• BSN preferred but not required
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained
• PALS or ENPC required within 30 days of hire and maintained
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year as staff nurse in acute care, E.D. preferred
• TNCC and CEN certifications preferred within specified timelines

Responsibilities

• Support administrative responsibility for the department and collaborate with unit Director/Manager
• Develop and implement departmental plans including performance improvement and regulatory compliance
• Lead orientation and training for personnel
• Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration in writing and verbally
• Ensure quality of staff and functions during shifts
• Perform direct patient care as needed within scope of practice
• Assess care and direct staff to adjust plans as necessary
