Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for the department services and works with the unit Director/Manager.
• Develops and implements departmental plans and performance improvement activities.
• Oversees orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration.
• Responsible for quality of staff and functions during their shift.
• Assists the Director in daily unit operations and supervises personnel.
• Ensures efficient department function and appropriate use of time, equipment and staff.
• Performs direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• continually assess care and direct staff to adjust the plan of care.
