Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to support department administration and lead performance improvements. The role involves coordinating with the unit Director/Manager, guiding staff, and ensuring efficient operations while maintaining patient care quality.

As a supervisor, you will participate in staff orientation, communicate with physicians and leadership, and oversee shift activities to uphold safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire and maintain.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) on hire and maintain.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support administrative responsibility for the department and collaborate with the unit Director/Manager.
• Develop and implement departmental plans and performance improvement activities.
• Conduct and oversee orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicate with staff, physicians and administration in writing and verbally.
