Job summary

South Texas Health System in Texas seeks a Clinical Supervisor - RN to oversee nursing care, assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care, and guide nursing staff. The role requires interaction with hospital staff and resolution of concerns, with potential weekend/evening shifts.

Candidates must hold a Texas RN license, BSN or related field, and maintain required certifications (BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, NRP, TNCC/TCAR, STABLE, CPI/SAMA) as applicable.

Qualifications

2 years RN experience in same or similar unit(s) required or 1 year previous
1-3 years supervisory experience preferred
Must maintain certifications per unit needs (AHA/CPR, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, NRP, TNCC/TCAR, STABLE, CPI/SAMA)

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, direct and evaluate nursing care for patients
Oversee and guide nursing staff under supervision
Interact with hospital staff and other departments to resolve concerns
May work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime or on-call as needed
