Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to provide administrative oversight and lead staff across shifts, ensuring quality patient care. The role collaborates with the unit Director/Manager and participates in performance improvement activities.

The position requires a current RN license, BSN preferred, and certifications including ACLS, PALS/ENPC, with TNCC and CEN preferred within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• ACLS certificate required 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC required 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting preferred.
• TNCC certificate within 12 months of hire and CEN within 2 years of hire, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for the department service functions and works with the unit Director/Manager.
• Develops and implements departmental plans including performance improvement activities.
• Conducts orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration in writing and verbally.
• Ensures the quality of staff and functions during their shift.
