Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Clinical Operations Coordinator RN for General Surgery. You will supervise clinic staff, coordinate schedules, and support quality patient care with leadership oversight. The role includes training, budgeting adherence, and ensuring data integrity. Clinical practice leadership will guide the position, with patient access and satisfaction as priorities.

You will provide limited direct patient care (<20%), maintain compliance, and participate in ongoing process improvement. BSN and active RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or certification in a clinical field.
• BSN or degree completion within two years of hire.
• Licensed RN with 5+ years of clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support Certification from an AHA source.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the office’s clinical support staff and workloads.
• Interview, hire, train, and conduct performance appraisals.
• Oversee daily office clinical operations within budget guidelines.
• Manage provider schedules and optimize patient care hours.
• Schedule staff across hours to maximize access and efficiency.
• Ensure data accuracy and compliance in data entry and reporting.
• Lead regular staff meetings and participate in leadership reviews.
• Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality.
