Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Supervisor to coordinate nursing care in the 3 South Medical unit at Advocate Christ Medical Center. The role involves directing staff, ensuring safe patient care, and collaborating with multiple departments to optimize patient flow.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing practice, staffing, training new employees, and contributing to budget and program development.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice (or eligible)
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months
• Strong nursing knowledge and clinical skills
• Ability to deliver evidence-based patient care

Responsibilities

• Provides work direction to clinical and support staff to coordinate resources for procedures and patient flow.
• Performs nursing process to deliver safe, quality care and conducts daily patient rounds.
• Coordinates needs of patient care team and promotes communication among patients, families, hospital departments and staff.
• Acts as a resource to employees, training, directing tasks, and providing guidance with unit leadership.
• Participates in HR-related duties (interviewing, resolving concerns) with unit leadership.
• Monitors staffing levels and maintains productivity in assigned areas.
• Ensures quality of care and compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
• Contributes to budgeting and ensures supplies and equipment for safe patient care.
• Collaborates with managers and vendors for equipment and program development.
• Ensures age-appropriate care and adherence to department standards.
