Job summary

Ascension in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking a Night Shift Nurse Leader for the Adult Psychiatric Nursing Unit to coordinate staffing and lead clinical operations. You will supervise nursing and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care during night shifts.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, directing staffing, ensuring safe workflows, and contributing to staff training and performance development within a compassionate behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• RN license from the Illinois Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.

• Assess daily patient care needs and direct nursing/support staff accordingly.

Salary Range: $45.30 - $63.95 per hour

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

• A minimum of 1 year of Charge Nurse or Lead Role experience required.
• Inpatient acute behavioral health experience required.
