Responsibilities

1. Coordinate nursing program activities and resources within clinical specialty or department.
2. Develop and oversee programs, making recommendations and acting as a resource for all nursing staff related to patient care, clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
3. Develop and document care plans and therapy programs.
4. Oversee and ensure the implementation of care and therapy plans.
5. Ensure necessary resources and equipment are obtained as ordered.
6. May supervise and direct nursing staff.
7. Coordinate, assemble, and maintain required documentation.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer; American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted.
  Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire; Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Education: Diploma from an accredited nursing school or required professional licensure at hire.
• Additional Preferences: Train-the-Trainer Adult Certification preferred; designated educator for Student CNA program; 5 years of long-term care experience preferred.
