Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship seeks an experienced RN for NICU/PICU care.

You will provide nursing care using the nursing process, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinate with other departments to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. The role requires at least 2 years of RN experience in Neonatal or Pediatric ICU, and BLS certification with AHA or within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• RN license in Missouri or compact license where duties are performed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.
• Must have at least 2 years RN experience in Neonatal ICU or Pediatric ICU.
• Experienced Nurses only – No new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
• Float to Pediatric ICU, Pediatrics and NICU as needed.

Position Details

Must have at least 2 years RN experience in Neonatal ICU or Pediatric ICU.

5A Mother Baby, 5B Woman's Surgical, Pediatric ED, and Pediatric Outpatient Services.

Dayshift 7a-7p. Full time only. Will rotate weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• Physical requirements/demands:
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
