Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced registered nurse to float to Pediatric ICU, Pediatrics and NICU. The role requires the nurse to work the night shift from 7p to 7a, full-time, with weekend/holiday rotations.

Candidates must be experienced nurses, not recent graduates, and must maintain patient rights and confidentiality per Mercy standards. The RN will provide care using the nursing process, coordinate with other departments, and uphold Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards throughout

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Position Details:

Will float to Pediatric ICU, Pediatrics and NICU.

Nightshift 7p-7a. Full time only. Will rotate weekends/holidays.

Experienced Nurses only- No new graduates.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.


• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.


• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.


• Physical requirements/demands:
  
  
  
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  
  
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
