Job summary

Mercy in Missouri seeks experienced nurses to float to Pediatric ICU, Pediatrics, and NICU. The position is dayshift, 7a–7p, full-time, with weekend and holiday rotation. New graduates are not eligible; prior experience is required.

Applicants must have graduated from an accredited nursing program, hold an RN license in Missouri or a compact state, and be BLS certified or complete certification within 30 days of hire. Mercy supports patient rights, confidentiality, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Maintain active RN licensure in Missouri/in compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Float to Pediatric ICU, Pediatrics, and NICU as needed.
• Dayshift 7a–7p, full-time with weekend/holiday rotation.

Experienced Nurses only- No new graduates.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• Physical requirements/demands:
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
