Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking a Registered Nurse for ICU and Emergency Department care. The role involves rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays with 12-hour shifts and a 72-hour-per-pay-period schedule.

The RN will provide patient-centered care, coordinate with the nursing team, and adhere to age-appropriate protocols. Requirements include IA RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and at least 1 year of Med/Surg or critical care experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process in ICU and Emergency Departments.
• Assume responsibility for nursing care outcomes during assigned shifts.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Follow age-appropriate protocols for patients' physical and psychological needs.

Position Highlights

Responsibilities

• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the ICU and Emergency Departments
• Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
• Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
• Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements

• Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
• IA RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC are required - inhouse education available upon hire
• One year of Medical/Surgical preferred or critical care experience
• New grads with a strong desire for critical care are encouraged to apply

Schedule

• 72 hours a pay period
• Day/Night/Weekend/Holiday Rotation
• 12 hour shifts 6:30-7
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
