Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking a skilled registered nurse to lead infusion care and coordinate patient treatment on the unit. You will collaborate with the health care team to deliver high-quality nursing care and ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes.

Requirements include IA RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, and a minimum of two years hospital experience. This regular full-time role offers day-shift opportunities and strong in-house education and growth options.

Responsibilities

Position Highlights

Responsibilities

• A clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who prescribes, delegates, and coordinates patient care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
• Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Assumes responsibility for the management of clinical and supportive activities and allocation of human resources of the unit on a designated shift.
• Coaches and supports the team in accomplishing the unit and hospital mission.
• Ensures that care is delivered by those who are competent/trained to do so according to the patient population, level of technology required, complexity of care needs, and the age of the patient.
• Demonstrates and role models professional practice, knowledge and skills.
• Participates in ongoing unit management responsibilities.
• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the Infusion department.
• Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period.
• Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care.

Requirements

Schedule

• 60 hours per pay period
• Hours and shifts may vary based on the needs of the department, however typical hours may range from 7a-5p; Mon-Fri
• On-call as needed
• Must be able to work into evening if needed
• Potential holidays and weekends as needed
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
