Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking an ICU/ED registered nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process in a rural hospital setting. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to patient-centered care principles.

Applicants must hold an IA RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications; one year of Medical/Surgical or critical care experience is preferred, with new grads encouraged to apply.

Position Highlights

Spencer Hospital is a rural hospitallocated in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the ICU and Emergency Departments
• Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
• Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
• Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements:

• Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
• IA RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC are required - inhouse education available upon hire
• One year of Medical/Surgical preferred or critical care experience
• New grads with a strong desire for critical care are encouraged to apply

Schedule:

• 72 hours a pay period
• Day/Night/Weekend/Holiday Rotation
• 12 hour shifts 6:30-7
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
