Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare seeks an RN in Jackson, TN, to provide quality patient care using the nursing process under supervision. The role includes leadership on the unit, coordination with the care team, and ensuring documentation and safe medication administration.

The nurse will participate in orientation, uphold standards of patient care, and support discharge planning while maintaining current BLS and licensure requirements. ACLS/PALS preferred; NRP within one year.

Qualifications

• Completion of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree in nursing required.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee; BLS certification required; CEUs annually.
• ACLS & PALS is preferred; NRP within one year of employment; recertification kept current.
• Additional certifications may be required at department’s discretion.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial patient assessment and developing care plans.
• Documents care provided and maintains accurate patient records.
• Coordinates bedside care and assists with procedures as needed.
• Administers medications, IV fluids, and blood products as ordered.
• Communicates patient status to physicians and collaborates with care teams.
