Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree in nursing required.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee.
• BLS certification within orientation period; ACLS & PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial patient assessment and plans of care.
• Documents care and coordinates with shifts and departments.
• Administers medications, IV fluids, blood products, and supervises delivery of care.
• Supervises nursing staff, prioritizes orders, and ensures chart accuracy.
• Communicates with patients, families, and other disciplines; participates in discharge planning.
• Ensures hazardous waste is disposed of safely and unit equipment is checked.
