Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in the United States to join our Patient Access & Care Team. The role requires a BSN and at least 5 years of RN experience, with a midshift on Saturdays and Sundays.

Candidates must live within 50 miles of Mint Hill or Winston-Salem call centers. Applicants should be licensed RN with BLS, and be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact and/or state-specific license to practice where RN provides services.
• BLS certification is required; additional education/certifications may be required based on specialty.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Note: telehealth/telenursing modalities require licensure in the client state(s).

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care; engages patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes and takes action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely per clinical protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution; fosters team collaboration.
• Pursues professional development and maintains certifications.
