Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges in the applicable state (multi-state compact acceptable).
• BSN preferred and encouraged.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to improve outcomes.
• Promotes a culture of safety and ensures accurate, timely documentation in the EHR.
• Float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed to meet patient care needs.
