Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is hiring a RN Transfer Center Bedflow Coordinator for the Fort Norfolk Transfer Center. This part-time (18 hours per week), day-shift role is based at the Fort Norfolk Transfer Center in Norfolk, VA.

The candidate will coordinate transfers, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure timely patient placement while maintaining a high level of clinical care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible
• Experience in ICU/ED or transfer center
• Recent acute care experience
• Ability to multitask, type with reasonable speed and take accurate notes
• Clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to meet standards of care

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transfers for patient flow across the system network
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and timely patient placement and/or transfers
• Communicate capacity management plans to nursing units, leadership, and physicians
• Apply clinical knowledge and critical thinking to meet standards of care
• Work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
