Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a part-time RN Transfer Center Bed Flow Coordinator to support the night shift (Third) with 24 hours per week. This role focuses on bed flow coordination and transfer operations for acute care patients.

You will assess and coordinate patient placement, work with ICU/ED and nursing units to optimize bed availability and throughput, and ensure timely transfers while maintaining high quality care and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• Experience in ICU, ED or Transfer Center is a plus.
• Ability to multitask, type with reasonable speed, and take accurate notes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans for designated patient populations.
• Coordinate and communicate capacity management and bed flow with units, leadership, and physicians.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate timely patient placement and transfers.
