Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Bed Control/Transfer Center Registered Nurse (BCTC RN) to coordinate and assign beds and manage patient transfers, ensuring optimal flow and timely care.

The BCTC RN will collaborate with ED, inpatient units, physician offices and procedural areas, assess patient needs for appropriate care levels, and document transfers while maintaining exceptional service and communication with clinicians and families.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of RN experience in an acute care setting required.
• Experience in critical care or emergency/trauma preferred.
• Proficient with EPIC EMR platform.
• Charge nurse or higher leadership experience preferred.
• Georgia RN licensure required (state or multistate).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign beds at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
• Evaluate, coordinate, screen, and document patient transfers.
• Collaborate with ED, inpatient units, physician offices and procedural areas to optimize patient flow.
