Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) at Marion County Jail in Indianapolis to provide direct patient care using the nursing process under supervision. You will educate patients and support care with competency and strong communication.

Ideal candidates have nursing licensure in Indiana and CPR certification, with preferred 1 year of clinic experience. This full-time role requires teamwork in a secure setting and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
• Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs in coordination with Charge Nurse(s) and staff.
• Administer medications, obtain diagnostic tests, and assist with minor procedures as needed.
• Count controlled substances and ensure compliant clinical care per policy.
• Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting and attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
• Communicate information to nursing staff, physicians, and supervisory personnel.
