Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the DON in planning, organizing, and directing Nursing Services. This RN leadership position emphasizes high-quality patient care within post-acute settings in Lecanto, FL.

The role requires an active RN license, an ASN/BSN, and CPR certification with at least some geriatric nursing experience. It includes oversight responsibilities and compliance with Life Care standards.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from an accredited college or university.
• Active RN license in the applicable state in good standing.
• Two years geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification required on hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Services department.
• Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Oversee care provided by nursing staff and infection control.
• Assume the duties of the DON in their absence.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary and support a positive patient experience.
