Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN - Assistant Director of Nursing to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Nursing Services department to ensure high-quality patient care in accordance with Life Care standards.

The role requires an ASN or BSN, active RN license, and ideally two years of geriatric nursing experience, with CPR certification. Exceptional leadership, communication, and infection control skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from accredited college or university.
• RN license in good standing in the applicable state.
• Two years' geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Services department.
• Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Oversee care provided by nursing staff and infection control responsibilities.
• Assume the DON's duties in his/her absence.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary and perform staff nurse duties.
• Maintain professional relationships with associates and vendors and ensure compliance with company policies.
