Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN - Assistant Director of Nursing to support the DON in planning, organizing, and directing Nursing Services to ensure high-quality patient care in compliance with laws and Life Care standards.

The role requires RN licensure, a background in geriatric care, and CPR certification, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and maintaining rigorous standards of care.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from an accredited college.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• Two years of geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Services department.
• Interview, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Oversee care provided by nursing staff.
• Oversee infection control responsibilities.
• Act as DON in absence.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
• Perform staff nurse duties as required.
• Exhibit excellent customer service with patients.
• Assist in patient evacuation.
• Maintain regular attendance and reliability.
• Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Move and position patients as needed; read, write, and speak English.
