Job summary

The Laurels of Mt. Vernon is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to step into an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) role.

You will support the Director of Nursing, help plan, coordinate, and supervise the nursing department, and ensure quality patient care. As ADON, you will oversee scheduling, charting, budgeting, and compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations, while promoting infection prevention and high standards of care for residents.

Qualifications

• RN with management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
• Ability to schedule and monitor quality of nursing care.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and infection prevention.

Responsibilities

• Verify licensure and credentials of nursing staff.
• Assist DON with scheduling and guest rounds to monitor care quality.
• Maintain charting and medication/treatment documentation.
• Develop and implement staffing plans reflecting guest needs.
• Participate in budgeting and manage nursing budgets and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and reimbursement rules.
