The Laurels of Chatham is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), RN, to support the Director of Nursing in planning, coordinating, and managing the nursing department. The role focuses on licensure verification, staff orientation, onboarding, and to drive high-quality patient care within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Verify licensure and credentials of nursing staff.
• Coordinate orientation for all new hires.
• Interview prospective nursing staff and schedule next steps.
• Assist with scheduling and guest rounds to monitor nursing care.
• Maintain charting and documentation of care and medications.
• Help develop and implement staffing plans and schedules.
• Stay current with managed care, Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

Responsibilities

• Verify licensure and credentials of nursing staff and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate orientation for new hires and onboarding processes.
• Interview prospective nursing staff and schedule next steps.
• Assist in scheduling and conducting guest rounds to assess care quality.
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation of care and medications.
• Contribute to writing and maintaining the nursing scheduling plan.
• Monitor adherence to Medicare/Medicaid rules and reimbursement practices.
