The Laurels of Pender, a 5-Star rated care community in North Carolina, seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with the Director of Nursing. This RN-led leadership role focuses on planning, coordinating, and managing the nursing department, including infection prevention as needed, to sustain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse (RN) with management or supervisor experience in long-term care.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and monitor quality of resident care.

Responsibilities

• Verify licensure and credentials of nursing staff.
• Assist with scheduling and guest rounds to monitor care.
• Maintain charting and documentation of care and medications.
• Develop and implement staffing plans and nursing schedules.
• Participate in budgeting and control of nursing supplies and staffing.
• Ensure knowledge of regulations and reimbursement systems.
• Assign duties considering guest safety and staff qualifications.
