Job summary

Amedisys is seeking an Admissions Registered Nurse to cover the Greater Worcester County area in a full-time daytime role. This position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus and an annual salary range of $91,700 to $114,500, reflecting home health market rates.

You will perform comprehensive start-of-care assessments and deliver skilled nursing care at patients' homes, supporting their healing in familiar surroundings.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• One year of clinical RN experience; if less, VP approval is required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Performs start of care comprehensive assessment, evaluation, development and implementation of plan of care.
• Completes OASIS assessments timely and accurately.
• Provides skilled nursing care to patients in accordance with the plan of care and agency policies.
• Helps to achieve and maintain continuity of patient care by communicating information with staff, physicians, family and resources.
• Initiates appropriate referrals when indicated.
• Promotes patient health through teaching and rehabilitative measures.
• Assists patients in learning self-care techniques.
• Other duties as assigned.
