Job summary

Capital Health in Hopewell, NJ seeks an experienced Nurse Manager to lead nursing staff on the 11:00am–11:00pm shift. You will coordinate staffing, oversee patient care quality, and partner with nurse managers to meet operational goals.

This role requires BSN with leadership experience, NIH Stroke Scale certification, and strong communication skills to manage complex workloads in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN required; Masters preferred; TNCC within six months of hire if at RMC campus.
• Experience: Five years RN experience including two years in leadership roles (Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager, Coordinator, Supervisor, Team Lead, or Charge Nurse).
• Credentials: AHA ACLS-Adv Cardiac Life Support, AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, AHA PALS or must obtain within 6 months of hire date; NJ RN license.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required (or by end of orientation) and 8 hours of Stroke-related CNE annually.
• Knowledge and Skills: strong organizational, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and verbal/written communication; able to manage multiple projects; intermediate computer skills.
• Special Training: Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists staff in identifying clinical and administrative priorities.
• Communicates with outside agencies and media following PR guidelines.
• Responds to emergencies and codes; coordinates activities per CH policies.
• Monitors staffing patterns; collaborates with nurse managers to adjust schedules.
• Makes rounds to assess nursing care and address unit needs.
• Oversees staff onboarding and addresses employee concerns per policy.
