Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Three years job-related experience in hospital-care setting; six months in charge role.
• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider; RN license in NJ.
• TNCC and 8 CNE hours if certain unit assignments.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification or obtain by orientation end; 8 CNE stroke hours.
• ACLS within 6 months for specified units; NRP and PALS as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all levels of unit personnel on assigned shifts and adjusts staff schedules.
• Coordinates care with nursing and medical personnel; plans patient care areas.
• Responds to patient, family and staff concerns promptly.
• Communicates effectively and supports team members.
• Mentors staff and provides leadership in decision-making.
