Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and be licensed as a Registered Nurse.
• BSN required; Masters preferred.
• TNCC certification within six months if working at RMC campus.
• AHA ACLS, BLS, and PALS or must obtain within six months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or obtain within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff in identifying clinical and administrative priorities.
• Communicate with outside agencies and media as directed by public relations guidelines.
• Follow emergency preparedness procedures and department protocols.
• Report unusual activity or emergencies to administrator on call and document actions.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling for the next shift with nurse managers and directors.
• Make rounds to assess nursing care and respond to patient concerns.
• Respond to emergencies and codes per CH policies and procedures.
