Job summary

Capital Health in New Jersey seeks an experienced RN with leadership experience to fulfill a nursing leadership role. The position supports staffing, patient care quality, and emergency response across shifts in a 36-hour work week.

The candidate will coordinate nursing staff, ensure adherence to policy, and maintain patient safety. Requires BSN, NJ RN license, and certifications (TNCC/ACLS/BLS/PALS) with orientation goals and stroke education requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN is required, MSN preferred.
• Five years of RN experience, including at least two years in a leadership role.
• Active NJ RN license; TNCC/ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications as specified or obtained within six months.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (or obtain by end of orientation) and 8 hours annual stroke CNE.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; proficient in multiple projects and fast-paced environments.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists staff in identifying clinical and administrative priorities.
• Uses guidelines established by public relations department in communicating with outside agencies and media.
• Follows and practices procedures as outlined in emergency preparedness procedures and department specific procedures.
• Coordinates nursing staffing and shift handoffs; reviews staffing for next shift.
• Responds to emergencies and codes; upholds CH policies and procedures.
